Nice

There is something particularly stylish about the south coast of France

Our Opinion

Whist Cannes always seems to get the plaudits we believe it is really just the poor relation to Nice.
Whilst Nice sprawls along the coast and up into the hills for quite some distance, the centre of the city is actually quite small and can easily be explored on foot.
A walk along the Promenade Des Anglais is great for people-watching whereas a stroll through the central area provides ample opportunities to sit in cafes to do the same!
Eating and drinking is not particularly expensive if you're careful about where you go. Food quality is, as may be expected in France, very high.
We were joined on our visit to Nice by an additional Jolly Boy (as can be seen from some of the pictures).

Further Details

Travel
Liverpool - Nice with Easyjet
An late afternoon departure meant that we didn't arrive until night time and this wasn't helped by the pilot "missing the runway" on the first landing attempt but apart from that a good flight.
Nice - Monaco with SNCF
It's only a short train ride from Nice to Monaco and it's a "must-do" trip or any visitor to Nice.
Home of the rich and famous and location of the classiest Grand Prix of the year, this is the place to see and be seen so an ideal location for the Jolly Boys!
