Florence

Unlikely you could see it all in a week.

Our Opinion

There is so much to see and do in Florence that it is unlikely you could see it all in a week, let alone the day which we allowed. Having said that, it is a compact enough city to be able to see most of the major sights on foot. We didn't have time to visit the galleries or museums but a walking tour of central Florence including a stroll across the Ponte Vecchio gave us a good overview of the city and its attractions.
Unfortunately, timescales meant that we were unable to conduct thorough research on this subject but what we did eat and drink was perfectly acceptable.

Travel
Pisa - Florence with Italian Railways
A fast, reliable and (by Italian Railway standards) punctual journey. Note, however, that this is a very popular route and the trains tend to get very busy and crowded.
